South Carolina Statute: an adult may prepare a written statement known as a Health Care Directive to control the health care treatment decisions that can be made on that person's behalf

According to South Carolina Laws (S.C. Code of Laws Section 62-5-504), any competent adult may execute a document directing that
life-sustaining procedures be withheld or withdrawn. It also defines other health care treatment decisions that can be made on your behalf.

|
|
You have the right to make decisions about your health care. No health care may be given to you over your objection, and
necessary health care may not be stopped or withheld if you object.
